We just got the new MacBook Air and Mac Mini last October. This meant that most of the Mac lineup got an update last year. The iMac never got the love that time. That all changes with Apple announcing new iMac!
What’s NEW with the New iMac?
If you were looking for a big change on the outside, then I am sorry to disappoint you. These new machines come in the same exterior that we all know and love (or hate, your opinion). It still comes in Silver (only the iMac Pro gets that shiny Space Gray) and still has big bezels. What you will find in the new iMac is updated processors, RAM, and. storage. (Yay?)

Yup. Honestly, we’re at this point where there’s not a lot of progress in terms of what you can update in this iMac. Sure this isn’t perfect, but I wouldn’t expect Apple to rush out a completely redesigned iMac at all. Even the beloved MacBook Air took more than 4 years to get a redesign! Let’s just enjoy what we have now. I sincerely hope we get a more forward-thinking iMac when Apple is ready.
